For some time, Philadelphia has a reputation as a place where there is a nexus of entertainers and film makers. We have a network of artists, musicians, producers and promoters and the established fans that actively seek to support them. On his campaign trail at The Arts Garage, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter recognized Arts and Culture as an economic force in this City. While The Arts Garage is making great strides connecting the Avenue North to the Avenue of the Arts, we are branding Philadelphia as the City of the Arts!

Get out of the house. Turn off the television. Put down the ipod. Put away the cell phone. Whatever it takes, just get to The Arts Garage at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday May 31, 2008 to hear from discerning role players, industry leaders, and movers and shakers of the Philadelphia nightlife.  Among them are the City’s best playwriters, stage producers and directors, muralists, International Djs, filmmakers, photographers, event promoters, grass root social, economic and political organizations. Join us and Mayor Nutter, the Keynote Speaker as we continue to strengthen our alliances and partnerships in Philadelphia’s creative economy.
